50
A project I created to celebrate my mum’s 50th Birthday.
A book commemorating special moments of her life, from as young as 10, where pictures were black and white, to her graduating from nursing, moving to England, getting Married and having more kids.
Golden 50 was put together with indesign and photoshop. Adding photos back in 1980s some colour and images we're scanned and edited and sharpened to come out as clear as possible. With the help of my mother's youngest and oldest sister, the images back when she was teen came to life. They helped me tell
the story from her childhood, school years and becoming a mother. My mum has always told me stories when she was younger but having the pictures and reading the story from her sisters I learned more about my mum. The 40page book also contained messages from friends and family all over the world., people
she hasn't seen in years and months.
